MXTV grabs holeshot in week 1!

Australia’s favorite dirt bike show, MXTV; has grabbed a holeshot in it’s first ever week on free to air television.
Episode 1 of the 2006 series, (which aired on Saturday 1st July on NBN 9) beat out rivals Channel 7 and 10 to win the battle for ratings in their Saturday timeslot. The show captured a 42% commercial share of the total viewing market, just beating out a popular music program on channel 7 and nearly tripling the viewing audience on channel 10.
“It’s really a great result considering it’s not only the first time we’ve aired on free to air TV, but also the first time we’ve aired in the region” said the show’s happy, but realistic Host and Executive Producer Brendan Bell.
“It’s only week 1 though, and we’ve got a long way to go... but we know there’s a huge audience out there who are just like us and want to see more dirt bikes on TV” Given the groundswell of support received for the new series from an army of dirt bike fans around the country, there’s every reason to believe that the win in the first week is a sign of things to come.
The new series of MXTV airs every Saturday on NBN 9 in NSW and Queensland as well as on Foxtel and Austar Digital, Channel 31 in Brisbane and Adelaide and a number of other places around the country.
