CRF150R Run Out Prices During Honda’s Annual Two Day Sale
Honda Australia have just announced that in addition to the usual amazing savings to be had at their Once a Year Sale on August 24 and 25, the manufacturer will also have never-to-be-repeated offers available on the 2007 CRF150R.
In keeping with the revolutionary CRF450R and CRF250R, Honda’s new CRF150R and CRF150RB (Big Wheel) machines redefine the small-displacement motocross category. One need only ask HRA Honda Junior Jacob Wright. After securing a title win in the Queensland Shell Advanced Series in 2007 with a perfect 21 race wins out of seven rounds, Wright also won the Queensland state titles on his CRF150R over three rounds with an incredible 8 wins from 9 races.
The bike’s lightweight, high-tensile steel frame is a compact yet powerful base for the liquid-cooled four-valve Unicam engine that produces impressive power across a wide rpm range for easy-to-control operation.
Minimisation of weight is, in fact, a huge factor for this little winner evident in its handlebar-mounted hot start system, low-carbon steel crankshaft, forged slipper piston and rings, and aluminium swingarm.
The bikes’ adjustable Showa cartridge front fork features a friction-reducing design to improve compression and rebound control, whilst the Pro-Link rear-suspension system features a fully adjustable Showa shock for superb compliance and wheel control.
The CRF150R also features an HRC works-type rear-brake system and an adjustable front-brake lever and master-cylinder assembly that mimics the components of its larger brothers.
Rider comfort and good looks are, of course, integral to the machine’s design with lightweight plastic body components in place to offer a slim, aggressive style.
