Polaris Announces Professional ATV Racing Team

Beechey to sign with Polaris
Polaris is proud to announce the establishment of a professional ATV racing team for the 2008 season.
The company is currently finalising an agreement with Luke Beechey Motorsports for Luke Beechey and one other racer to participate on behalf of Polaris in every major ATV event on the Australian calendar.
The team will operate under the banner of Luke Beechey Motorsports and will be fully sponsored by Polaris.
This news comes on the back of the announcement of Polaris’ revolutionary 2008 sports range, including the Outlaw 525 IRS, Outlaw 525 straight axle, and the race-ready, straight axle Outlaw 450 MXR.
All three Outlaw models come packing heat, with the championship-proven pedigree of a KTM engine making them the fastest-accelerating, most dialled-in line of sports quad ever.
Light-weight with massive midrange torque and roll-on acceleration, the Outlaw 450 MXR packs the power with a 4-stroke, 448cc KTM engine and breathes out through a Keihin 39mm FCR carburetor.
The Fox Podium shocks on the front and rear provide superior stability and performance on both the trails and the track, with dual A-arm suspension with 25.4cm travel up front and mono-shock swing-arm suspension with 28cm travel at the rear.
Dual-piston brakes and standard premium brake calipers provide awesome braking performance, while the industry’s only standard, self-adjusting hydraulic clutch is smooth and easy to pull.
The Outlaw 450 MXR comes complete with 5-speed manual transmission including a reverse switch, along with MAXXIS RZR front and rear tyres and spun aluminum wheels.
More information on the professional race team will be provided once all details are available.
