Visiting Americans Add More International Flair to Oceania Motocross Championships

Several more international star riders have been secured for the upcoming International Oceania Motocross Championships at McAdam Park, Barrabool, Australia.

Long time American Motocross legend, Ryan “Ryno” Hughes, will once again put on his Motocross race face to line up against Australia and New Zealand’s best Motocross riders. Having raced in the G.N.C.C. off road series for several years, it will be a ‘once off’ opportunity for Australian fans to see Ryno in action.

“I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to race and holiday in Australia, and at the same time help save a great track like McAdam Park at Barrabool” Ryan enthused. ”I hear the guys down under are pretty quick now. I haven’t raced a lot of motocross recently, so I will have to wait and see how I stack up. This will be my last International appearance, and while I am there I will be doing several riding schools at Barrabool and another nearby track, so I will get to meet a lot of the locals”.

Also visiting the IOMXC will be fellow countryman David Pingree, now famous for his involvement with the world renowned Racer X motorcycle magazine and website.

“Ping”, as he is better known, said “I got the invite to come over and I’m super pumped!

I would absolutely love to come back down there and race! I will pull the boots on and give it my best shot, although I am also coming to help promote the event. We would love to help out this great event, Brett Metcalfe has told me all about it and it sounds awesome! While I am there I can do some commentary for the fans, and pass on some goss from the U.S race scene.”

The IOMXC is being held over the last weekend in October on the 27th and 28th.
