2007 Yamaha Blue Light Ride

2007 Yamaha Blue Light Ride

Online entries are now open for the 2007 Yamaha Blue Light Ride, Junior and Senior events, which will be held over the weekend of the 17th and 18th of November in the area around Noojee, Victoria, an hour and half from Melbourne.

The event has a 30 plus year history and is continuing ever stronger. The event is run and organised by the Victoria Police Motors Sports Club and has become the largest off road participatory event in Australia if not the Southern Hemisphere.

This year Yamaha has come on strong with a brand new WR 450, free to one lucky Senior entrant and a TTR 230 for a very lucky Junior entrant. (Not bad odds to be going home with a brand steed). There will be a stack of other give aways from Fox, Shift, Dunlop, Australasian Dirt Bike Magazine, Motul, Australian Trail Bike Tours and PodMX. Every entrant receives a Yamaha Blue Light Ride finishing medallion.

With over a 100 kilometers of the very best arrowed and marked trails offered by the Noojee area, suitable for riders of all levels of competency, and numerous sweep riders to ensure all riders make it through to the end, the Yamaha Blue Light Ride continues in its values of health, fitness and compliance with Victoria’s traffic laws and regulations.

All riders must have a properly silenced motor cycle, a current learner permit or licence and a registered (including Recreational Registration) and mechanically sound motorcycle. Last years noise testing proved to be very enlightening for a lot of riders and will be in the paddock again this year.

The Yamaha Junior Blue Light Ride on Saturday the 17th is open to all 12-16 year olds with trial/enduro orientated bikes (no motocross bikes) and will be run on the Christian Family property with the support of Motorcycling Victoria. Not only will one lucky Junior take home a brand new Yamaha TTR 230, Cheryl Muldoon from Yamaha Australia has promised that every Junior rider will take home a prize!!

As always we have a great relationship with the local authorities and community groups that assist with the event and are paramount for the future of this event.

For all information and online entries for both Seniors and Juniors of this not to be missed event check out www.bluelightride.com.au.

Get in early for front grid and team entries, don’t leave your entry too late as you may miss the chance to join in the fun, and the possibility of taking home some great prizes, of what has become one of the ‘must do’ trail riding events on the Australian Calendar.

See you in November.
