Triple Victory For No Fear Honda Juniors at National Titles

No Fear Honda Junior riders claimed three incredible victories on behalf of the factory team at last week’s national titles in Coolum, Queensland, fulfilling their long, hard fought personal goals.
It was a jubilant ending to the four day event for youngsters Luke Arbon and Jacob Wright who illustrated the amazing capabilities of the manufacturer’s newest small capacity motocross weapon, the CRF150R.
Arbon from South Australia took home the 13-15 yr trophy after storming the first two races and finishing second in the 250cc class with another Honda rider, Josh Cachia, coming a close second.
He followed that up with a perfect run in the 14-u16 150cc class, making it two trophies for the rider. Team Manager Ajay Johnson describes Luke as one of the most mature riders for his age that he has ever seen.
“Luke is an amazing kid. He thinks about race strategy instead of just getting out there and going flat out. He was just awesome on that CRF150.”
The youngest member of the team, Jacob Wright, also made up for a forgettable ’06 national experience where he finished way down the ladder. This time around the Queenslander took home his class trophy in the 9-12 150cc class with three convincing race wins.
“Jacob had an eight second lead most of the time,” Ajay said. “Again, a great performance and well deserved after the hard work he has put in this year.”
Juniors “veteran” Ross Beaton had a harder time of it after getting knocked off just after the start of race one, however, he worked tirelessly to come up from last place to finish strongly, and to follow that up with a win in his next moto.
After qualifying second overall, Beaton had to settle for fourth overall in the 15-16 year old class.
“The boys were all on the pace in qualifying with either the fastest or second fastest times,” Ajay explained.
“To finish with three titles was so thrilling for everyone. All the boys and their parents were just so wrapt and excited about their accomplishments.”
“We had a late night on Sunday celebrating and everyone was absolutely elated from the whole experience.”
“Also a huge thank you to our techs from the No Fear Honda senior team, Glen and Wayne.”
“They worked extremely hard on eight bikes throughout the whole event, and said it kept them busier than most senior events.”
