PRESS RELEASE

Monday 2nd April 2007

GHR Honda Rrider AJ Roberts Clean Sweeps

GHR Honda rider and defending champion, AJ Roberts has again scored a clean sweep of the Australian Offroad Championship at the Mogo (Batemans Bay) double header this weekend. This result makes it four wins from four rounds and further secures the 24 year olds lead in the E2 class and outright standings. According to Glenn Hoffmann (GHR Honda team manager), “AJ and his CRF450 were well suited to the conditions.”

“Out of the six special tests held each day as part of the enduro format, AJ won five of
them each day. This event is an enduro format just like the 4 Day, bikes are put in parc
ferme overnight and riders have a 15 minute work period at the end of the day. The
riders are on the bikes for about five hours per day and so it is important that the bikes
are reliable as 15 minutes is all they get to make repairs.“ Hoffmann noted.

“I enjoyed the event and it is good to start the year with maximum points. No one in the
team is getting excited as it is a long year and there is a lot of work to do still. Winning
every round is what the team works toward so it is good to achieve it so far. It is tight in
second spot with second place Wonka dropping a few points in round four so that helps
a little also.” commented AJ.

AJ’s team mate and multiple Australian Champion, Ben Grabham also had a good
weekend on his CRF 250 finishing in second place in the (E1) class in both rounds.
“Yeah it was good to be back on the pace at Mogo and now I am focused on trying to
win this class again as in 2005.“ Team manager Hoffmann commented “Ben probably
was not 100% well at the last round but he certainly rode well today. Chris Hollis is riding
well but Ben was only 0.5 second per minute off the winning pace. This is not an
insurmountable gap and I think Ben should now be second for the championship in the
250cc class.
