Honda’s New MX’ers Win Australasian Dirt Bike Magazine’s (ADB) Shoot Out

The competition to top product “Shoot Outs” is very tight these days, so when a manufacturer wins two successive events for their latest motocross machines; it’s certainly worth bragging about.
Honda’s 2008 CRF250R and CRF450R were recently reviewed against all of the other major competitors in Australasian Dirt Bike Magazine’s (ADB) first two editions of the year with the outcome being that both bikes finished number one on the ladder.
Shoot-outs give customers excellent advice on each bike’s overall performance and particular areas in which they shine over competitors. ADB said about the 250R that, “from the hardpack rollercoaster track of Kembla, to the skatey test track at Shock Treatment, the best suspension package over the two days was clearly the Honda.”
Reviewed by a panel of five riders, from Pro to Vet level, the CRF250 could “do no wrong”. With small refinements made to this year’s model including a new steering damper, the riders agreed that the most consistent bike in every category was the 250R.
‘The Honda proved to be the most rideable package across the board, and every test rider could circulate with it at a consistently fast pace.”
For the second year running, the Honda 450R was also considered to be equally as impressive.
“Like most shootout winners, the Honda stood tall at the end of play because it is virtually impossible to fault,” said the review panel.
“The Honda’s chassis so good, you can charge harder for longer on the CRF, and use every granule of grunt the power plant has to offer.”
Owning one of these winning machines is extremely affordable at the moment with a special finance deal in place between now and March 31, 2008 that allows customers to finance their bike from less than $40 per week through Honda MPE Financial Services (HMFS).
Full reviews for each bike are available in the January and February editions of ADB Magazine. For information, go to: www.adbmag.com. For further details on the finance promotion and bike specifications, see your local Honda Dealer or visit: www.hondamotorcycles.com.au
